Pediatric Dermatology

A young patient cannot be treated the same as an older adult. From an infant with “cradle cap” to a teenager suffering from acne, our dermatologists are skilled in diagnosing and treating patients 21 years of age and younger.

As Dr. Hartley, our senior pediatric dermatologist, explains, “Long past is the time when people think of children as simply small adults. Children metabolize drugs differently; they manifest disease in different ways.” Dr. Hartley was a pediatrician for ten years before becoming a dermatologist, so he relates particularly well to both the children and their parents, as well as the many pediatricians that refer children to our practice for diagnosis and care.

Acne is a particular concern for young adults, since a lot of anxiety and social concerns understandably accompany this condition. Click to learn more.
