Davis G. Farvolden, M.D

Davis G. Farvolden, M.D. earned his medical degree in 2000 from Flinders University School of Medicine in Adelaide, Australia. He then continued his medical training in the United States, attending Good Samaritan Hospital in Baltimore for his internship and University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester for his dermatology residency. In addition, Dr. Farvolden completed his dermatoimmunology fellowship at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore. He is a member of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, American Academy of Dermatology, and the American Medical Association.

Dr. Farvolden is an expert in cosmetic laser treatments that efficiently and effectively improve the appearance of unwanted/unsightly skin lesions and conditions.

His cosmetic specialties include:

Pulsed-Dye Laser (PDL) – a concentrated beam of light targets blood vessels in the skin, treating rosacea, hemangiomas (blood vessel growths), and facial and nasal veins while leaving all surrounding areas undamaged.

Alexandrite Laser – a pigment-specific laser removes excess pigment from the skin, greatly diminishing or completely eliminating brown spots, liver spots, and age spots anywhere on the body.

PDT Blu-Light Therapy – LED light triggers the destruction of pre-cancerous skin lesions in large surface areas as prevention to stop progression of these areas into skin cancer.
