Dr. Steffany Shearer is a board-certified dermatologist who recently joined Raleigh Dermatology & Associates in Raleigh, North Carolina. She was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Oklahoma in 2003. She was also selected into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. She received her medical degree from Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2009. She was elected into the Sigma Sigma Phi medical honor society. Dr. Shearer completed her traditional internship at University Hospitals in Richmond Heights, Ohio. She graduated from Larkin Community Hospital dermatology residency in South Miami, Florida in 2013. She served as chief resident during her senior year. Following her residency, Dr. Shearer practiced in rural Oklahoma, providing dermatologic care to the majority of the southern portion of the state. She provided services in general and cosmetic dermatology, as well as Mohs micrographic surgery and pathology. She and her family relocated to Raleigh, North Carolina in December 2017. Dr. Shearer has a passion for Integrative Dermatology, providing a blend of traditional medicine with a holistic, alternative approach.
Dr. Steffany Shearer is a fellow of the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, the American Academy of Dermatology, and the American Society of Mohs Surgery. She is a member of the American Osteopathic Association and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery.
