Lorie Tengco Conza, NP-C

Lorie A. Tengco Conza, NP-C is a board certified family nurse practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Program. She earned her Bachelor and Master of Science in Nursing from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia.  In 1992, she enlisted in the Navy as a hospital corpsman then received a Navy ROTC Nursing scholarship in 1993. Mrs. Conza was commissioned in 1997 and served more than ten years as a nurse corps officer working at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth (NMCP) and Naval Ambulatory Care Center Newport, Rhode Island.  She worked as a nurse practitioner in a general and cosmetic dermatology setting for over three years before joining the team at Virginia Dermatology & Skin Cancer Center.  She is passionate about providing the best care available; she refines her skills and knowledge by attending conferences and completing continuing medical education (CME) activities focused on dermatological care of the skin, hair, and nails.

Mrs. Conza's professional memberships include:  American Academy of Nurse Practitioners; Dermatology Nurses’ Association Nurse Practitioner Society; Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing; Golden Key Honor International Society; and Philippine Nurses Association of Virginia.  Nursing Honors & Awards include: Dina Estaris Nursing Scholarship Award (2010); Diane Keefer Scholarship Award (2010); Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (2004 & 2007); NMCP’s Senior Nurse of the Quarter (2006); & ODU’s Nursing Leadership & Community Service Award (1997).

Mrs. Conza is happily married with three children and enjoys volunteering in community events, traveling around the world, and practicing hot yoga.
